Local Cooperation



The Council cooperates and coordinates nationally with the legislative, executive and judicial authorities in addition to private sector and related civil society institutions, and internationally with related regional and international organizations:

The Legislative Authority:

The establishment of a coordinative committee between the Supreme Council for Women and the legislative authority which includes members from the Councils of Representatives and Shura.

The Judicial Authority:

Signing an agreement of understanding with the Supreme Judicial Council that aims to reinforce cooperation to activate both parties' specialties in consultations related to the Women Centre directly and indirectly in regards to the draft laws presented to the legislative authority.

The Executive Authority:

Cooperate through the National Committee to follow up the Implementation of the National Model for Integration of Women's Needs in the Government Action Plan and the Opportunities Equity Committees.

The Private Sector:

Signing numerous agreements of cooperation and memoranda of understanding with the private sector institutions.

The Civil Society:

A cooperation committee was established between the Council and women societies and committee of the civil society institutions. The Council also signed memorandum of understanding with the Bahraini Women Union.
