National Conference for Bahraini Women to start on Tuesday

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on Tuesday patronises the Third National Conference for Bahraini Women, under the theme "Women and the Law - March and Achievement - Challenges and Aspirations".

The SCW is organising the event in cooperation with the Bahrain Women Union and with the participation of the Supreme Judicial Council, Constitutional Court, Public Prosecution, Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments and the Legislation and Legal Opinion Commission.

The first session, to be moderated by the Advisor to HRH Princess Sabeeka, Lawyer Lulwa Saleh Al-Awadhi, will focus on the impact of family-related legislation on the situation of Bahraini women.
This year’s Bahraini Women’s Day will celebrate Bahraini women in the legal and judicial fields. It aims to highlight and document Bahraini women’s march and success stories since the 1970s. It will also show the role played by legal women in implementing the national reform project and activating policies to integrate women’s needs to ensure the sustainability of their contributions. It will also identify the supporting services provided for women working in this field.
