SCW provides remote educational support for children of medical, health staff


The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) has started delivering remote “educational support” services for the children of the health and medical staff who at the front-line in combating the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The move is within the “Together for Bahrain's Safety” campaign launched by the SCW upon directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the SCW.

The campaign aims to support Bahraini women and families, through determining their needs and meeting them in cooperation with partners to achieve the psychological and social stability for all family members, creating an aware social culture and highlighting the best practices in this regard.

The SCW said that it had provided teachers in coordination with the Bahrain Education Trade Union, in addition to a number of volunteers from the National Volunteering Platform to deliver virtual teaching support with the highest levels of efficiency and commitment.

The SCW added that it had coordinated with the parents, consulted the Bahrain Education Trade Union on the implementation mechanisms and the distribution of teachers, and held a remote meeting with the volunteers on the tasks assigned to them.

The SCW indicated that it aims to target students from all levels, inform them about how to use the electronic platform, show parents how to follow up on their children’s learning, as well as the way to follow daily lessons.

The SCW said that the “Together for Bahrain’s Safety” campaign targets four fields, namely educational support, family support, instant service, family and legal consultations, in addition to the economic support.
