HRH Princess Sabeeka receives First Lady of Maldive Islands

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, received First Lady of Maldive Islands Fazna Ahmed, within the framework of her visit to the kingdom accompanying her husband, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.


HRH Princess Sabeeka affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to boost cooperation with the Republic of Maldives regarding development issues. She noted the leaderships’ keenness to further boost bilateral relations in various areas.


Her Royal Highness noted the key role of the First Lady of Maldive Islands, Fazna Ahmed, in empowering Maldivian women, facilitating their access to leading posts and enhancing their participation in the economic and social field.


For her part, the First Lady of Maldive Islands expressed thanks to HRH Princess Sabeeka for the gracious welcome and hospitality, lauding the Bahraini experience in empowering Bahraini women. She voiced keenness to build on the outcomes of the visit to further promote relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of Maldives and exchange the best experiences related to the advancement of women.
