SCW Secretary General receives Ombudswoman

Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), Hala Al-Ansari, received today at the council’s premises in Riffa Ombudswoman Ghada Hameed Habib. She congratulated her on assuming her new responsibilities, wishing her every success.

Al-Ansari lauded the recent initiative of the Ombudsman’s Secretariat General to form an equal opportunities committee. She praised the role of the Secretariat General in protecting rights and security, pointing out Bahrain’s status as one of the rare countries in the world that adopt this system and the first country at the regional level which set up this type of monitoring bodies.

Ombudswoman Ghada Habib commended the efforts of SCW, under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King, to ensure stability and advancement of Bahraini women and protect their rights.
