Efforts to promote family reconciliation discussed


The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) held a meeting with the equal opportunities committee at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

The meeting focused on the ministry’s services and initiatives aimed to achieve family stability as part of the strategic scheme for the implementation of the National Plan for the Advancement of. Bahraini women  (2019-2022).

Assistant Undersecretary for Planning, Family Reconciliation and Alimony Dana Al-Zayani  stressed the ministry’s keenness on following up on the implementation of the executive plan, amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

She underlined the ministry’s plan to  step up family reconciliation and expand the offices in charge of this service to cover all governorates countrywide.

She said that the ministry would continue efforts to build the capabilities of the working cadres, evaluate the procedures for converting digitizing   services to ensure the continuity of the workflow without delay while adhering to the precautionary measures to maintain the safety of all.

SCW Assistant Undersecretary Shaikha Dina bint Rashid Al-Khalifa stressed the role of the ministry’s equal opportunities committee in following up on the implementation of the national model for gender balance.
