HRH Princess Sabeeka hails royal directive

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President praised the royal directive issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, allowing mothers affiliated with ministries and Government departments to work from home. 

In an exclusive statement, she hailed the deep significance of the royal gesture which reflects the leader’s proximity to the aspirations of his people, and his constant keenness on their wellbeing as Bahrain battles to protect society from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). 

She said that the council would work with competent authorities to ensure the implementation of the royal directive, which serves the national plan to promote the empowerment of Bahraini women, supports family stability and enables women to reconcile between the family and national duties. 

She stressed the importance of the royal directive which could usher in a new phase for for women's work in various service and production sectors in Bahrain.

“The success of women's work from home paves the way for the sustainability of of this procedure, whenever necessary and when the need arises”, she said, stressing the importance of developing women's work policies and providing them a flexible environment, which would    would enhance their productivity and raise the indicators of their participation in the labor market and their contributions to the growth rates of the national economy.

She commended Bahraini women who rallied to assume their responsibilities and answer the call of duties as the country goes through this challenging phase, hailing the dedicated efforts of the National Taskforce for Combating COVID-19, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. 

HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al-Khalifa valued highly the royal directive which brought relief to Bahraini families in such circumstances which required collective solidarity and cooperation, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect the leader of Bahrain and his loyal and bless all with good health, wishing every patient quick recovery.
