Hospitality Project Development:

Hospitality Project is one of the economic projects that the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women has relied on to implement the first programs of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women Strategy through training girls and women with primary and intermediate school education to establish their own hospitality project to raise their living and family levels. The Project is executed in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor, a specialized private sector institution and Bahraini Women Union.


 Fashion Design Project:

The Fashion Design project (Previously known as The Tailoring Project) is one of the early projects that were implemented by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women to train a number of workers released from factories or job seekers on sewing, tailoring and embroidery skills in addition to providing them with the needed equipment to establish a tailoring project from home or open their own tailoring shop.

After the success of the project in its first phase it was turned into Fashion Design to elevate the level of trainees and qualify them for the requirements and needs of the local market through the need and desire to deal with Bahraini women instead of foreign workers.


 

 Photography Skills Project:

The Photography Skills Project includes a series of training programs for job seekers on the principles of photography and digital imaging and video filming in addition to identify different camera types and professional techniques of photography and acidification. It aims to create new job opportunities for these women and upgrade their living standards. The Project is in cooperation with Tamkeen and the University of Bahrain (represented in Bahrain Credit Media Center). Beneficiaries of the project reached 13 so far.

 

Interpreting Translation Project:

The Council, in cooperation with the University of Bahrain and Islamic Development Bank, implemented the project to qualify several job seekers in the field of translation and create new job opportunities for these women and lift their living standards. The project also aims to train and qualify female specialized cadres in the fields of translation and interpreting. Beneficiaries of the project reached 13 so far.

 

Women Empowerment in the Field of Medial Making and Communication:

The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women, in cooperation with the University of Bahrain (represented in Bahrain Credit Media Center) and with the support of Arab Gulf Program for United Nations Development Organizations (AGFUND), implemented the Women Empowerment in the Field of Medial Making and Communication Project as one of the projects that aim to economically empower women. The project aims to train and qualify female job seekers in the professions related to media through a series of workshops. The project targets women with college degree certificates who are willing to train and work in the media field. Beneficiaries of the project reached 11 so far.
