The Supreme Council for
Women launched several awards and initiatives aim at consolidating the status
of women in decision-making positions and civil society institutions. This is
in addition to encourage youth voluntary work and support young Bahraini
entrepreneurs in order to implement the Council’s responsibility of proposing
the general policy in the field of developing women affairs at the society’s
both civil and constitutional institutions, as well as activating the
principles of the National Action
Charter and the constitution of the Kingdom of Bahrain regarding women and
providing suitable mechanisms to achieve that goal in cooperation with
ministries, official institutions and civil society institutions.
