Bahraini Women in National Development

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Women celebrates this year (2021) Bahraini Women's Day in coincidence with the 20th anniversary of its establishment as a national edifice dedicated to advancement of Bahraini women.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Council, kindly accredited the theme of Bahraini Women's Day as "Bahraini Women in the National Development, a March of Progress in a Dedicated Nation". The Kingdom is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the National Action Charter which completes the political rights of women leading to resuming their participation in the public space.

The Supreme Council for Women affirmed that the selection of this topic comes in line with the long-standing women's presence within the national advancement processes, while praising the depth of that presence historically, and in view of its gradual, orderly and consistent development with the general development of the country as a modern civil one. This is based on the foundations of justice and equality in rights and duties between all citizens, men and women, which are the constants of the Supreme Council for Women's work. The Supreme Council for Women has been committed since the beginning to support the welcoming royal vision of the women's partnership praising their efforts and achievements which are based on the high confidence of the political will in this generous country.
