SCW, Shura Council discuss cooperation
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Hala Al-Ansari, received here today Karima Mohammed Al-Abbasi, and congratulated on her appointment as Secretary-General of the Shura Council.
Al-Ansari commended the efforts of the Shura Council's Secretariat-General to support the advancement of Bahraini women, praising the role of the Shura Council in implementing Bahrain's National Gender Balance Model.
Al-Abbasi affirmed the keenness of the Shura Council, led by Ali bin Salel-Saleh, to strengthen cooperation with the SCW with the coordination committee between the two sides, in implementation of the decision of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and SCW President, to focus on continuing the integration of women's needs and achieving gender balance through taking advantage of the available parliamentary tools and optimal use of the prerogatives of the legislative branch in order to bring about more gains for Bahraini women and families.
