Screen magnification
If you find it difficult to read text and view images, you can use the Zoom in option to zoom in on the page. You can also change the page size by selecting the View menu, then selecting "Zoom" and then adjusting the page size as desired.
Ability to change text size
If you have difficulty reading text on your computer screen, you can increase or decrease the text size by adjusting the font size setting in your browser.
- Internet Explorer: by choosing (View) from the list, then selecting the appropriate size.
- Firefox: Choose (View) from the list, then select to increase or reduce font size. You can also press (Ctrl and +) to increase the text size, (Ctrl and -) to reduce the text size, and (Ctrl and 0 to return you to the default size.
- Chrome: Choose the main menu, then choose Zoom, then adjust the text size. You can also press Ctrl and + to increase the text size, Ctrl and -) to reduce the text size, and Ctrl and 0 to return you to the default size.
- Opera: Resize text and graphics using (+ and -) on the numeric keypad. The page size will change by 10% each time.
- Safari: Click (View) from the menu, then click (Make Text Bigger) or (Make Text Smaller) to change the font size. You can also use keyboard shortcuts. You can also press (Apple and +) to increase the font size, or (Apple and - to reduce the font size.
Ability to change colors
If you find it difficult to read text with some background color combinations, such as white text on a black background, you can easily change the background colors in your browser.
Internet Explorer: Choose the Tools menu, press Alt+T, choose Internet Options, or press O. Then choose (Accessibility) or press (Alt+E). When the Accessibility window is displayed, check the box next to (Ignore colors specified on webpage), or by pressing (Alt + C). Changes are saved by selecting OK, or by pressing Enter, which will take you back to the Internet Options window. The site will now use the same color scheme as on your computer.
Firefox: If you are using Firefox, you can change the background colors by choosing the Tools menu, or by pressing (Alt+T). Then by choosing (Options), or by pressing (O) to display the (Options) window.
