GCC Women's Affairs Standing Committee reviews Bahrain's proposal for enhanced cooperation

SCW General Secretariat holds first consultation meeting
The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), organised the first consultation meeting to discuss the Council's initiative on coordinating the efforts of government ministries and institutions to meet the needs of Bahraini women during emergencies.
SCW hosts awareness event on sharia mediation
The Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, organised an awareness event about mediation in sharia matters. The event, held at the council's headquarters, was attended by women’s associations and beneficiaries of the services of the SCW’s Women’s Support Centre.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), congratulated Sonya Mohammed Janahi, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), on her appointment as a Titular Member of the Governing Body of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and Vice President of the International Organisation of Employers in Asia. She is the first Arab businesswoman to hold this position since the organisation's establishment.
