SCW launches eighth edition of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) announced the launch of the eighth edition of the HRH Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment. Established by Decree (5) of 2004, the award bears the name of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, in recognition of Her Royal Highness's commitment to supporting national efforts to enhance the status and progress of Bahraini women.

Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and the President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), the Award ceremony for the 28th Bahrain Quran Grand Price for females winners was held at the Isa Cultural Centre (ICC).

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) was established on the 22nd of August 2001 upon Emiri Order No. 44 in 2001 which was amended by Emiri Orders No. 55 in 2001, No. 2 in 2002 and the Royal Decree No. 36 in 2004.
