Exceptional Volunteer initiative honours SCW Youth Committee members

His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, honoured four members of the Youth Committee at the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) as part of the winners of the Exceptional Volunteer initiative. The recognition was held during the annual ceremony organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs to mark Bahraini Youth Day, observed on March 25 each year.
Those honoured included Khalid Salah Al Muharraqi, Executive Office Member of the Youth Committee; Douha Al Bashar, Executive Office Member of the Youth Committee; Zainab Saeed, Youth Committee Member; and Rayan Al Safi, Youth Committee Member.
The Exceptional Volunteer initiative aims to recognise 25 outstanding Bahraini youth for their contributions to volunteer work and community service. It also aims to promote a culture of volunteering among youth, encourage active engagement in community initiatives, and highlight leading examples of youth achievement in this field.
The award recognises the members' dedication throughout the year to implementing programmes and initiatives aimed at empowering young people, developing leadership skills in social work, and supporting the SCW’s efforts to integrate youth into its strategic planning.
The SCW Youth Committee was established in 2003 based on the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, to support the development of young men and women as future leaders in the advancement and empowerment of Bahraini women.
