HM King, HRH Princess Sabeeka exchange congratulations on NAC anniversary

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today received a cable of congratulations from Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the 23rd anniversary of the endorsement of the National Action Charter (NAC).
HRH Princess praised this national milestone which has deep historical significance, as it heralded the beginning of an era of development achievements under HM the King’s leadership.
Her Royal Highness emphasised the importance of renewed loyalty and sincerity in implementing His Majesty the King's visions, particularly for Bahraini women's prominent presence in the nation-building process.
This was highlighted by numbers, statistics, and international reports, marking an important historical era in Bahrain's glorious history, she said, stressing that this era will remain engraved in the country's history.
HRH Princess Sabeeka pledged that the SCW would remain committed to implementing HM King’s visions on developing the role of women and integrating their needs in the national development process, based on the provisions of the Constitution and the National Action Charter.
HM the King sent a reply cable of thanks to HRH Princess Sabeeka, noting that the NAC anniversary represents a national occasion to renew commitment to the principles, values, and fundamentals agreed upon by the Bahraini people.
His Majesty recalled the prominent and inspiring role played by Bahraini women, through their presence in the Charter Preparation Committee, and the committee in charge of activating the National Action Charter, leading to their acquisition of their full rights.
HM the King commended the effective role played by Her Royal Highness, as SCW President, in enhancing the Bahraini women’s status and role at all levels.
