HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim commends HM King’s designation of 2026 as "Year of Isa Al Kabeer"
Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), commended His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Order designating this year as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer", in recognition of the founder of the modern state and the leader of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s institutional development, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa, "Isa Al Kabeer", Ruler of Bahrain and its Dependencies.
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim said the royal initiative reflects the highest values of loyalty and pride in the Kingdom’s heritage, and honours the distinguished legacy of a leader who established the foundations of administrative, judicial, and educational institutions, marking a pivotal period in the shaping of Bahrain’s national identity and civil institutions.
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim noted that designating this year as "Isa Al Kabeer" conveys a significant educational and national message to future generations, commemorating the values of dedication and service exemplified by the founding leader, and reinforcing the sense of national identity and pride in the Kingdom’s continued development under the leadership of His Majesty the King.
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim also highlighted the royal initiative’s focus on the city of Muharraq, including the development of Isa Al Kabeer Palace and its surrounding areas, stating that these initiatives reflect His Majesty the King’s commitment to preserving Bahrain’s national heritage and historical identity, and honouring the milestones that marked the beginning of institutional work and comprehensive national development.
HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim expressed pride in the royal initiative and wished continued prosperity and progress for the Kingdom of Bahrain.
