SCW holds event in Abu Dhabi on Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Award
The Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in partnership with the General Women’s Union of the United Arab Emirates and UN Women, held an event in Abu Dhabi to introduce the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women’s Empowerment.
The event highlighted the award’s objectives in recognising initiatives that advance women’s empowerment across the public and private sectors, civil society and individual efforts worldwide. It forms part of ongoing cooperation between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE under a joint committee framework and a memorandum of understanding between the SCW and the General Women’s Union.
A presentation outlined the award’s categories and evaluation criteria, followed by a panel discussion featuring previous recipients who shared the impact of their initiatives.
