SCW Sec Gen participates in event "She Builds: Women Innovating Social Solutions for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future"
Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), participated in the event "She Builds: Women Innovating Social Solutions for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future", held on the sidelines of the 2nd World Summit for Social Development in the Qatari capital, Doha from November 4 to 6.
The event aimed to highlight scalable female-led innovations addressing key development challenges, promote knowledge sharing across regions, and apply design thinking to develop adaptable practical solutions.
Separately, the SCW, in cooperation with UN Women, is organising a side event to introduce the third edition of the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women's Empowerment at the summit. The event aims to familiarise officials and foreign representatives with the award's objectives, criteria, and participation process, and will include a promotional film showcasing the award since its inception in 2017. The award seeks to showcase initiatives promoting women’s empowerment globally and to recognise new efforts that can be broadly adopted and beneficial on various levels.
