SCW Secretary-General issues decision to form HH Shaikha Hessa bint Salman volunteering award committee

Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), issued decision (30) of 2024 establishing the committee for the "HH Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work" for its fourth edition (2024-2026).

The decision stipulated that the committee shall be chaired by Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, a member of the SCW. The committee members include Abdulkareem Abdulhameed Al Meer, Director of Events and Programmes at the Ministry of Youth Affairs; Amina Ibrahim Al Jassim, Acting Director of the NGOs Directorate at the Ministry of Social Development; Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali, Head of the Information Systems Department, Acting Director of the Business Incubator Centre, and Coordinator of the Injaz Bahrain Programme at the University of Bahrain; and Ameera Mahmoud Mohammed, Advisory Board Member at the Youth Pioneer Society.

 

The committee’s responsibilities include setting the award's conditions, criteria, and procedures, evaluating and recommending projects for the award, and approving and announcing the final decisions.

 

The committee shall submit its reports and recommendations to the Secretary-General for review before presenting them to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the President of the SCW, for final approval and decision issuance.
