SCW Secretary General meets UNIDO Deputy Director General
Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received Fatou Haidara, Deputy Director General and Managing Director of Global Partnerships and External Relations at the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO).
The two sides discussed means to enhance the partnership between the SCW and UNIDO to support women of productive families.
The meeting highlighted efforts to empower women entrepreneurs and enhance their contributions to the national economy through initiatives like Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa’s Award for Productive Families.
Al Awadhi underscored UNIDO’s role in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment to achieve sustainable development goals, particularly by supporting women’s economic empowerment and integration across various sectors.
