SCW Secretary General receives Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights
Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received Dr. Yousef Abdulkarim Bucheeri, Director General of Legal Affairs and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting reviewed the Equal Opportunities Committee’s 2024 annual report and discussed the ministry’s Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance Plan for 2025–2026, aimed at promoting the principles and objectives of equal opportunities. It also highlighted the committee’s key projects and activities and its role in supporting the implementation of gender balance standards for ministry staff within Bahrain and abroad. Gender balance indicators within the ministry were also presented.
Al Awadhi commended the efforts of Dr. Bucheeri and members of the Equal Opportunities Committee and their active initiatives. She emphasised the SCW’s support for initiatives that advance Bahraini women in the diplomatic field and enhance their regional and international presence.
