Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Dar Al Manar for Parental Care held a ceremony marking its 25th anniversary.

Her Highness Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Vice Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Al Mabarrah Al Khalifia Foundation (MKF), and Chairperson of the Royal Life Saving Bahrain (RLSB), attended the ceremony.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad emphasised that caring for parents and senior citizens in the Kingdom of Bahrain represents a core social responsibility and a religious and humanitarian duty. She noted that the efforts of Dar Al Manar, in cooperation with government entities, civil society organisations, and the private sector, reflect the appreciation and respect owed to senior citizens for their enduring contribution to national development. She also underlined the importance of continued support and community partnerships to sustain these noble efforts.

HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad described Dar Al Manar as a distinguished model of appreciation and care for senior citizens, providing a comprehensive social and psychological environment that enables them to remain active through recreational, vocational, and educational programmes. These initiatives, she said, allow them to share their experience, acquire new skills, and maintain meaningful engagement with the community, thereby contributing to social cohesion and development.

Adnan Al Malki, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Dar Al Manar, conveyed, on behalf of the board, members, and staff, appreciation to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa for her patronage and honourary presidency since the organisation’s establishment.

He noted that HRH Princess Sabeeka’s continued support has been instrumental in Dar Al Manar’s success over the past 25 years in serving a key segment of Bahraini society. He also commended the home’s sponsors and partners for their ongoing contributions, noting that they were recognised during the ceremony in appreciation of their role in promoting social solidarity in the Kingdom.

The event featured a traditional performance by residents and a short film commemorating the 25th anniversary. Tokens of appreciation were presented to supporters, and HH Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad received, on behalf of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim, a commemorative gift. She also toured an accompanying exhibition showcasing the works produced by members of the association.
