Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), sent a cable of congratulations to Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, SCW member, Bahrain Olympic Committee Board member, and Chairperson of the Committee on Equal Opportunities and Gender Balance in Sports, on her appointment as Vice President of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees, representing women.

A briefing event organised by the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in partnership with UN Women, on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, received broad regional and international recognition for the third edition of the HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women Empowerment. Participants highlighted the award’s role as a distinguished global model in promoting gender equality and advancing women’s empowerment.

SCW launches fourth edition of HH Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work. The award was established under Royal Order (15) of 2011 in honour of the late Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa’s contributions to charitable, voluntary, and social work.
