HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa: HRH Princess Sabeeka Award continues to reinforce Bahraini women’s empowerment

Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa highlighted the role of the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment as a key national pillar supporting women’s advancement and enhancing their role in development.

She noted that since its launch, the award has served as a national platform to recognise institutional and individual efforts that promote women’s empowerment and encourage sustainable practices supporting gender balance in the workplace and society.

 

HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa said that over its eight editions, the award has helped instil a culture of empowerment, showcase inspiring national role models, and support institutional policies that encourage women’s participation in public and economic life, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

She added that the 2024–2026 edition will feature enhanced evaluation mechanisms, reflecting national developments and progress in implementing the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women 2025–2026. She urged entities and individuals to submit initiatives that demonstrate commitment to equal opportunities.

 

HH Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa emphasised that the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), under the guidance of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, remains committed to supporting all efforts that strengthen the role of Bahraini women as active partners in building a balanced and prosperous nation.
