Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, accompanied by Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), made an inspection visit to the Masaken 2 project in Al Hidd Housing City to review progress and completion rates, in the presence of officials from the ministry and the council.

Minister Al Rumaihi said the support of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, has helped advance efforts to provide housing services for Bahraini women. She noted that the Masaken project is one of the leading initiatives to support women in securing suitable housing and ensuring their living stability.

She added that Masaken 2 builds on the success of Masaken 1 in Al Lawzi, which met its goal of providing homes for female citizens. Construction progress on Masaken in Al Hidd Housing City has reached 73%, with infrastructure work completed. The project is on schedule and is expected to be finished by the end of the year, after which apartments will be allocated to beneficiaries.

On her part, the SCW Secretary General said the project’s progress reflects a joint commitment to accelerating housing projects that support Bahraini women and their stability.

She commended the strong partnership between the council and the ministry to meet women’s housing needs, support sustainable development, and align with shared visions and goals.

During the site visit, the engineering team presented the project’s components, apartment designs, and the facilities and services provided, in line with the plan coordinated between the ministry and the council. The plan focuses on modern apartment designs and providing services and facilities that meet the needs of the project’s beneficiaries.
