19 Jul 2025

Previous winners of the “Imtiaz” initiative for young Bahraini women entrepreneurs called on others to participate in the fifth edition, highlighting the chance to share their journeys and success stories in entrepreneurship. They described the initiative as an ideal opportunity to develop and expand their projects, build professional networks, and gain support and guidance.

They emphasised the role of the initiative in enhancing leadership skills, achieving sustainable business growth, and contributing to the national economy, while strengthening the presence of Bahraini women in entrepreneurship.

The initiative reflects the Supreme Council for Women’s commitment to advancing Bahraini women in the economic field, under the directives of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women.

Hessa Albinfalah, Founder and CEO of HF Design, said that winning in the fourth edition marked a pivotal moment in her professional journey. It highlighted her accomplishments and provided her with a strategic roadmap to develop her business. She benefited from the initiative’s mentoring programmes, led by experts, and expressed appreciation for the Council’s support and the leadership of Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of the Imtiaz Committee.

Fatima Al Ansari, Founder and CEO of Fatima Al Ansari Design, said the award enhanced her professional presence, increased client confidence, and expanded recognition of her project locally and regionally. She added that the initiative strengthened the credibility of her brand and deepened her commitment to delivering services that support societal development.

Dr. Sara Al Reefy, founder of a specialised medical centre in women’s health, said the initiative gave her a broader vision for developing her project and reinforced her confidence as a competitive entrepreneur. She noted that use of the “Imtiaz” logo on her centre’s platforms for two years enhanced its reputation and supported expansion plans, including the goal of exporting the brand and improving service quality.

Maryam Al Mansoori, Founder of Jomon, a plant based dairy alternative brand, described the award as a pivotal experience. It strengthened her sense of responsibility toward business development and social contribution. She noted the importance of the council’s continued follow up and the value of participating in international forums to explore opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Dr. Mai Ibrahim Khalifa Mattar, Founder of The Light Box Teleradiology Solutions, said the award gave her project access to expert evaluation, enabling her to identify strengths and areas for improvement. She said the initiative helped her develop a comprehensive plan to strengthen her medical centre’s position in the competitive healthcare sector and expand its services.

Lulwa Al Mannai, Founder of LAM BRAND, a leather accessories brand, said the initiative helped her business stand out in the fashion market and facilitated participation in international exhibitions. She said the award supported her access to funding and investment opportunities and expanded her professional network. She noted that it inspired her to pursue a master’s degree in luxury business in Italy, enriching her experience and opening new prospects in the global fashion industry.
