The initiative aims to recognise young Bahraini women entrepreneurs who have achieved excellence and innovation in their projects, to highlight the contributions of Bahraini women in entrepreneurship, and encourage women to enter the world of freelance work as a promising path that opens broad opportunities for participation in the labor market and contributes to national economic development.
The initiative welcomes applications from women entrepreneurs who meet the eligibility criteria, including Bahraini nationality, being under 45 years of age, having at least three years of experience in entrepreneurship, submitting a financial report of the business or project, and holding an official license to operate the business in their name or with a minimum 50% partnership. The participating project should be based on sales, purchases, or service provision.
The initiative was launched under the directive of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of SCW, under Decision Edict 10 of 2011. The initiative has gained momentum over its previous four editions, starting with 11 entrepreneurs in the first edition and reaching 98 participants in the fourth edition across diverse domains.
