SCW participates in Women’s Economic Empowerment workshop in UAE
Rana Ahmed Khalifa, Strategic Planning Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), and Alaa Abdulnabi Al Khunizi, Senior Specialist for Local and International Cooperation at SCW, participated in the GCC Knowledge Exchange Workshop on “Women’s Economic Empowerment” organised by the UAE Gender Balance Centre for Excellence & Knowledge Exchange.
Rana highlighted Bahrain’s national plan for women’s advancement (2025–2026), outlining key initiatives based on current assessments and aligned with the long-term strategy endorsed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2005.
The forum brought together experts from the World Bank and GCC countries to exchange successful policies and strengthen regional cooperation in promoting women’s economic and social inclusion.
