SCW Secretary General discusses cooperation with Bahrain Young Ladies Association
Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), held a meeting with the Bahrain Young Ladies Association. Al Awadhi conveyed the greetings of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, highlighting Her Royal Highness’s interest in strengthening cooperation with civil society institutions.
The meeting reviewed proposals for cooperation between the SCW and the association, particularly regarding the organisation of the "Al-Nahda Forum" for the economic empowerment of Bahraini women, scheduled to mark the 70th anniversary of the association’s establishment, as outlined in the association’s request.
Al Awadhi also presented a brief overview of the 2025 – 2026 National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women, recently approved by HRH Princess Sabeeka bit Ibrahim. She noted that a dedicated meeting with civil society organisations will be held soon to outline the plan’s objectives and discuss potential areas of collaboration.
