They also agreed on a mechanism for UN Women to monitor the winners’ institutions and study the award’s impact on their organisational work and women’s empowerment in their countries.
The meeting also covered UN Women’s youth programme, which aims to empower young men and women as future leaders supporting women’s rights.
Additionally, they discussed final preparations for the side event to promote the third edition of the Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Global Award for Women's Empowerment, organised by the SCW in cooperation with UN Women, scheduled for next Tuesday at the UN headquarters in New York.
