SCW Secretary General reviews updates on Riyadat Women’s Development Centre
Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), held a meeting with Dalal Al Qais, Group CEO of Bahrain Development Bank (BDB), to discuss ongoing developments at the Riyadat Women’s Development Centre.
Raed Hatem, Head of Investment Management at Edamah, was present.
Al Awadhi commended the bank's role in supporting Bahraini women entrepreneurs and its collaboration with Edamah in operating and enhancing the centre.
The meeting included a presentation of BDB’s strategy to further develop the centre as an economic incubator, offering training, promotional services, and accessible financing to empower women in launching and growing their businesses, aligned with the council’s mandate and the 2010 agreement between the two parties.
Al Awadhi expressed gratitude for the efforts of both the bank and Edamah in improving services, boosting occupancy at the centre, and increasing women’s participation in the national economy. She underscored continued cooperation to advance the centre’s core objectives.
