SCW launches eighth edition of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment
The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) announced the launch of the eighth edition of the HRH Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for Bahraini Women Empowerment. Established by Decree (5) of 2004, the award bears the name of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, in recognition of Her Royal Highness's commitment to supporting national efforts to enhance the status and progress of Bahraini women.
SCW, Bahrain Women’s Union hold joint meeting
Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), met with Ahlam Ahmed Rajab, President of the Bahrain Women’s Union, in a joint committee meeting to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two institutions and implementing their memorandum of understanding (MoU).

The Supreme Council for Women (SCW) announced the launch of the fourth edition of the Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work. The award was established under Royal Order (15) of 2011 in honour of the late Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa’s contributions to charitable, voluntary, and social work.

Supreme Council for Women celebrates its 24th anniversary
August 22, 2025, marks the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), created as an advisory body under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the foremost supporter of Bahraini women’s advancement. The Council serves as the national reference authority for women’s affairs, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King.
