Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), sent a cable of congratulations to Dr. Shaikha Hessa bint Khalid Al Khalifa, member of SCW, member of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee in sports, on being honoured as the Arab Sports Personality of the Year. This recognition was awarded as part of the 2024 Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Women Sports Award, acknowledging her outstanding role in advancing women’s sports in the Arab world.

Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), issued decision (30) of 2024 establishing the committee for the "HH Shaikha Hessa bint Salman Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Youth Work" for its fourth edition (2024-2026).

SCW vice president meets Youth Committee Executive Office members
Dr. Shaikha Mariam bint Hassan Al Khalifa, Vice president of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), held a dialogue session with members of the SCW’s Youth Committee Executive Office at the council’s headquarters in Riffa. Assigned by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Balushi, SCW member, participated in the 2024 Eurasian Women’s Forum. Dr. Al Balushi engaged in several bilateral meetings and contributed to discussions and workshops at the forum, held under the chairmanship of Valentina Matviyenko, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of Russia, themed “Women for Strengthening Trust and Global Cooperation,” from September 18-20 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
SCW organises awareness programme on Protection Against Domestic Violence Law
The Supreme Council for Women (SCW), in collaboration with the Bahrain Medical Society, organized an awareness programme addressing " Protection Against Domestic Violence Law and Doctors' Legal Responsibilities". The aim was to raise awareness about the dangers of domestic violence, the necessary actions to take when it occurs, and the importance of the Domestic Violence Protection Law as a key part of Bahrain's advanced legislative framework. The programme also highlighted the legal and ethical responsibilities of doctors in reporting cases of domestic violence.
Committee for HRH Princess Sabeeka Award holds first meeting
The Committee for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa Award for the Advancement of Bahraini Women (2024-2026) held its first meeting, chaired by Lulwa Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), at the SCW headquarters.
